Re: Urgent jobs

Ok, thanks.... That'd be good.

What I'll do is keep an eye on the chunks being rendered and when one starts a new chunk I'll remove it from the job.

Re: Urgent jobs

If there is a new urgent job, clients rendering non-urgent jobs will drop their current jobs and work on the urgent one. Does this happen after they've finished their current chunk or do they drop their chunk to move onto the urgent job? If they drop the current chunk, is there a way to either stop...

Urgent jobs

Hi, I have a job running that's set to urgent. If I have another job set to urgent and want clients to start rendering that job when they finish a chunk of the other one, how can I do that. The manual says this: Urgent net job changes When setting a net job to urgent, any clients that are not alread...

Disconnect client after chunk completion

Hi.

I need to disconnect my system from rendering after a chunk has completed. Is this possible with RenderPal? I can of course just keep an eye on the chunk but I don't have time for that.

Thanks,

Sean

Adding Offsite Systems

Hi. I'd like to add my laptop (which isn't in the office) to RenderPal. I know it can be done (https://youtu.be/sF9fBVWjf7g?t=75) but can't figure out how to do it. There doesn't seem to be the info in the manual and I can't find anything on the forum.

Can anyone help with this?

Max opens when rendering

When rendering with Maya, mayabatch.exe comes up in the task manager processes. Every time a new chunk starts, we reduce the affinity if needed. We can do the same with Max but when rendering, the Max scene semi-loads and the render window comes up. My boss was just doing a screen capture thing for ...

Editing Render Set

Hi.

When editing a render set and pressing save net job, RenderPal has to restart the job. Is it possible to restart then automatically pause/cancel it depending on its state before editing the job? I know it's easy enough to just pause or cancel the job but I'm just curious.

Re: Controlling another PC

Ahhh, I've must have misunderstood your reply.

I've found the user accounts window now. Trying to figure it out because there's no info about setting it up in the manual.

Re: Controlling another PC

Can you please explain how I set that up?

Where do I enter the User account details?

I presume by account details you mean the one that was created when we bought the licenses?

I also can't find the option in RenderPal where I set the computers to 'Admin'
