Re: Help needed to set up Lightwave rendering

I also think that you misunderstood the meaning of the "Parameters" field in the renderer settings. This field is used to add any additional command-line parameters the renderer should use, not to enter a directory or file the renderer should use for... whatever.

Re: Help needed to set up Lightwave rendering

It sounds like either a problem with the scene or one of the configuration files, yes.

Re: Help needed to set up Lightwave rendering

Why exactly did you enter that path in the "Paramteres" section of the renderer? It doesn't make much sense. This is the problem - just take a look at the commandline that's being generated. You have to at least put the path in quotes, since it contains spaces.

Re: RenderPal, only one frame for a specified sequence..

Please take a look at Maya's output when rendering that particular scene. If possible, email us the scene file (if it isn't too large).

Re: Bug in lw project dir path?

The double backslash doesn't come from RenderPal, so it looks more like a Lightwave bug.

Re: server crash

The server quits after 1 hour when using the free license once the initial 30 days have been used; this is a bug that will be corrected in the upcoming release. The full version doesn't have this problem.

Re: RenderPal remote command line + maya switches

No, there is not really a way, since these limitations are imposed by the OS and the way it pre-parses the commandline. You'll have to find other ways to pass your MEL scripts. Editing the configuration file automatically, using a custom renderer... there surely are some other ways to achieve the sa...

Re: Client Maya Soft render without maya installed in client

If the client is already running as a service, there is no need to run it again (unless you really want to run 2 clients on the machine), so I am not really sure what you are trying to do. If you start another instance, it will just do that - start a second client; and as long as you don't change it...

Re: Client Maya Soft render without maya installed in client

You can't render without Maya being installed on the client machine; a network installation of Maya requires a floating license (see their website if they offer such a thing for Maya). The console version of the client has nothing to do with the client running as a service... what exactly are you tr...

Re: Remote Control / Job Priority - Possible Bugs or Issues

The way the clients are allocated is intended, but you can change this by using a different dispatch method for your pools. I'd say that you should use "Job sequential", as this will just render the job with the highest priority first, then the next and so on. We will look into the crashes and see i...
