network path between mac os x and windows

Postby raffael3d » 15 Sep 2014, 07:49

hi
we have RenderPal server setup in a windows machine and it is rendering on various windows machines. now we added some mac os machines.

what command or special installation has to be done for the path translation so for example a scene from windows

X:\3dprjects\maya\scenes
so it is opened correctly on mac side. does anything have to be setup on the mac? thanks

Either use UNC paths, which are understood by all operating systems, or use RenderPal's path map feature to map the Windows paths to the proper MacOSX paths.
