executable issue on os x

Postby raffael3d » 16 Sep 2014, 23:34

I assigned vray as a renderer both in RenderPal as well also as remote client configuration.

it says "cannot open renderer description file "vrayRenderer.xml".

what is the issue here? to me it seems it has issues getting inside the maya.app data folder where the bin/Render executable lies. or any other suggestion what causes this?

I set it to /Applications/Autodesk/maya2013/Maya.app/Contents/bin/Render

thanks

What happens if you use the Scene or Software renderer?

I found this post http://seriss.com/cgi-bin/rush/newsgrou ... +2315+2315

if this is true this is the biggest joke ever. I went into that MacOS folder as described in that link and copy pasted the vrayRenderer xml file into the renderDes folder and now it's working!

lousy installation by vray?
