rendering with maxwell/maya issues

Hello,

We have recently set up a small Maya renderfarm and we are having issues rendering out to maxwell when using RenderPal. We are able to render perfectly fine when we enter the commands manually using the command line but when we submit through RenderPal over the network it keeps erroring out. Below is the output log from one of our jobs:

Disable local scene caching first and see if anything changes.

with local scene caching disabled it still gives the exact same error in the same spot

Try to set the renderer to Scene renderer and see if at least a real error message is given.

Even when run with the scene render it still errors out in the exact same spot per the output file below:

Well, still no indication of what the error might be. There are a few more things you could try to track this down:

- Use the Maya software renderer
- Use a local output directory
- If you run the client as a service, disable that option and run it manually
- Always turn off local scene caching for testing
- Increase the verbosity level

The default maya software renderer works when RenderPal is run both "manually" and "in the background" (via scheduled task on startup). I used a local output directory. Rendering using maxwell works when RenderPal is run manually, but not when it is run in the background. HOWEVER, on another system with identical configuration the maxwell renderer runs fine both in the foreground and background. Any idea what could be causing this?

Have you properly configured the network drive mappings in the service configuration dialog?
