Hi All

I have found a bug and solution for people who don't get render output in Modo. The problem persist when the CL script defines the render range and steps.
The problem is both in RenderPal and Modo, i have no idea why Modo doesn't want to run the normal script with some projects, but here is the solution.

Open the server
Go to Renderers -> Renderer Management -> Modo
In the sidemenu go to "Script Template".

Find the following entry:

@@skip
item.channel first $(sf) item:Render
item.channel last $(ef) item:Render
item.channel step $(fstep) item:Render
@@end

Replace it by the folling entry:

@@skip
@ChangeRenderFrameRange.pl $(sf) $(ef) $(fstep)
@@end


That fixes the bug.

Please note that with this bugfix you MUST define a frame range & step in the render set window for each project.

Does this fix work under all circumstances? If so, we will incorporate it (in a modified version) in the next update.

So far, so good, will keep you posted!
It is just really weird that the code you guys implemented does not work since it is the basic code.
Than again, there is not much info on Modo's CL, all i know is that the perl command seems to work.
Anyway just for your interest, here is the return error i got with the normal code:

item.channel first 1 item:Render
- error 84800022:CommandSys: Executions are illegal during system initialization

We've tested this, and it's indeed working pretty well; will be incorporated in the next update.
