Send flags with command line job submission for Maya MR job

Postby caseymcbride » 20 Feb 2015, 16:43

Our studio utilizes the Maya Mental Ray renderer and RenderPal.

I'm creating a program that will submit a list of shots from an excel document. That way I can submit 30-40 shots at a time without submitting each job separately. I got most of the program working except for submitting the frame range, camera, and render layers. I'm using the RcrCcp.exe command line to do the job submissions through VB. Is there a way to send the frame, camera, and render layer flags with a job? The format listed in the documentation is RcrCcp.exe [options] [scene]

Thanks,

Casey

Any renderer parameter can be submitted using their ID, e.g. "-frames 1-10".

That worked perfectly. Thanks! But now I'm attempting to send the camera and render layer name. I'm using the flag -camera "cameraName" and-layer "renderLayerName" and it dosent seem to be working. I'm not getting an error and the job is submitting. Just without the camera and render layer. Are there any know issues on this?

Could you show us the entire command-line you're using?

Works fine for me. Which version of RenderPal are you using?

Try to update to 2.11.3 first.
