Server crash on larger jobs

Post by ch3m1kal » 22 Aug 2017, 13:55

This is not a new issue, but it's been popping up more often. The RenderPal server tends to crash on large jobs (Over 1000 frames or so).
The remote controller is basically useless when trying to edit or work with them in any way. It either hangs when trying to interract with the job in any way, or sometimes the server itself crashes directly.
The server runs several other services withouth any issues, it is only the RenderPal server that crashes, and fairly often. I think it maybe a database issue, since it seems that clearing the job queue helps with the problem.

The RenderPal event log doesn't' show anything interesting, the windows logs show this:

Faulting application name: RenderPalSvr.exe, version:, time stamp: 0x57dbeecc
Faulting module name: GDI32.dll, version: 6.1.7601.23457, time stamp: 0x573c93ef
Exception code: 0xc0000005
Fault offset: 0x00015f56
Faulting process id: 0x2b00
Faulting application start time: 0x01d31b38f9a5cd33
Faulting application path: C:\Program Files (x86)\RenderPal V2\Server\RenderPalSvr.exe
Faulting module path: C:\Windows\syswow64\GDI32.dll
Report Id: 4482c20c-872c-11e7-ac8f-74d435845054

It would really help if this is fixed.

A clean installation of the RenderPal V2 Server might help here; also, always update to the latest version. If this doesn't help, send us a support archive of your server.
