execute commands based on the logs of a client
Hello,
I have a few render clients that are finished rendering but they wont release the current chunk and just sit idly.
Is there a way i can write a script to read the logs of each client and if certain words are in the log i want RenderPal to skip that chunk?
Is there a command that i can have RenderPal skip a chunk based on whats in the client logs?

Take a look at the renderer's output filters in the renderer management; there you can react to certain words.

Hello,
Thanks for the advice i think this might do what i need it to do but there is 1 problem.
In the renderer management --> output filters --> there is no option to skip a chunk in the actions dropdown menu.
There are options to restart chunk, cancel chunk, etc. But there is no option for Skip Chunk.

Can you also add an option for Done in the output renderer - action section.
There are cases where renderman has finished the frame but takes a very long time to give an offical note on being finished but there are strings that indicate its done before that official finished string.
So i want to be able to finish the render at that string.

Skip and Done are the same.

Well the difference between skip and done for us is that fact that when a chunk is skipped then there is no statistics saved for it for example the time to finish the frame and so on.
When a chunk is done then the statistics are saved so we can see how long it took, etc.
