At least one job seems to have a scene file located on a local drive
At least one job seems to have a scene file located on a local drive
Hello All!
Cinema 4d R21 + Redshift
Submitting a project with the submitter script.
I get the error:
"At least one job seems to have a scene file located on a local drive, so your clients most likely will not be able to find it under that path."
Is there a solution for this?
All I have is 1 machine currently with 2 GPUs. I would like to be able to render 1 frame per GPU locally. So GPU 1 renders frame one...GPU 2 renders frame 2.
I have 1 main hard drive with my OS and My work files for all my freelance work.
Any help would be appreciated and thanks!

Re: At least one job seems to have a scene file located on a local drive
Place your files on a network/shared folder; another client will not be able to find local files of that machine.
Re: At least one job seems to have a scene file located on a local drive
Thanks for the reply.
The client and folder are both on the same drive...since there is only 1 computer and 1 drive.
I turned on sharing for the folder with permissions for everyone...but still get the same error.
Is it no possible to do this with 1 hard drive and render local on my own machine?
Can I point the client to look at my main work folder so when I submit jobs through C4D is sees it?

Re: At least one job seems to have a scene file located on a local drive
In that case, things should work fine. Keep in mind that the message you get is a warning, not an error.
Re: At least one job seems to have a scene file located on a local drive
So once I click ok, the job gets submitted to the server, and it is seen by the client.
It looks like every frame is rendering...and it appears like it working, except no frames are being exported. But when I check the frames, the status says its missing. Also the GPUs never spin up...so I dont think Redshift is being used as well.
Am I a little closer at least??

Could you show us the render set of that job (select the job and click Edit render set)?

Sure no problem...and thanks again for looking at this.
I did point the R21 setting to Cinema 4d r21 executable.

Try specifying a file ending, like test.png instead of only test.

Hmm gave it a shot...it acts like it is rendering...but no frames.

Check out the net job's chunk and event logs to see if anything helpful shows up.
