Changelog for RenderPal V2 2.10.0

Code: Select all

[+ Global] Renderer system: Search paths for renderer executables can now be defined for each renderer
[+ Client] If no executable for a renderer is specified, the client now searches for a suitable executable automatically
[+ Server] Added a database manager to the server
[+ Server] The server can now automatically create periodic backups of its database
[+ Global] Renderer system: Environment variables can now be defined for each renderer which will then be used by the rendering process
[+ Global] Renderer licenses can now have a host renderer (licenses of that renderer will also be reduced; useful for managing plugin renderers)
[+ Global] Clients can now be scheduled
[+ Svr/Cl] The RenderPal V2 service can now be started with a delay (helps resolve network resources not being available to the service)
[+ Server] Email notifications: An email can now be sent if a net job caused too many errors
[+ Server] Email notifications: Added an option to only send one chunk error notification per job
[+ Svr/RC] The Remote execution dialog now supports presets
[+ RmCtrl] Console RC: Added a switch to set the start date and time of a net job (-nj_startdate)
[+ RenSys] Added a new callback function (ImageRendered) to the renderer script that gets called when an image has been rendered

[# Svr/Rc] When changing the frame list (and several other settings) of a net job, RenderPal will now keep chunk states where possible
[# Svr/Rc] When changing the frame splitting (and additional splitting) of a net job, RenderPal will now keep chunk states where possible
[# Svr/Rc] Editing the render set of a net job no longer causes the net job to be restarted (with a few exceptions)
[# Client] The Windows client will now warn the user if UAC is enabled on the system (and offers to disable it)
[# Global] Made some performance improvements in the various item lists (net jobs, clients/pools etc.)
[# Global] Improved the overall redrawing logic (can increase visual performance, especially in very active render farms)
[# Svr/RC] When loading a renderer failed, a more detailed error message will now be shown
[# Svr/RC] Other smaller improvements around the places

[! Svr/RC] When the renderer management created a default version for a new renderer automatically, duplicated tab pages appeared
[! Global] Environment variables were case-sensitive
[! Global] Fixed several other smaller bugs

[* Render] Added executable search paths to several renderers
[* Render] Updated the Arnold for Maya renderer to support Maya 2013 and higher
[* Render] The After Effects renderer now requires a comp name if an output file is specified
